Megan's Visit to Iowa

Yeah!!! We love visitors. Thanks so much for coming Megan. We took a little side trip down towards Kansas City to take in some of the Church sites. View of Adam-Ondi-Ahman

We also stopped by Far West.

I think Meg's favorite was Liberty Jail.

We also stopped in Independence and toured the Visitor's Center there. This is a picture of Chase taking a time out from the tour. He was being pretty naughty.
My favorite part of the tour was when the sister missionary asked Austin, "What do we need to do so that we can see our Heavenly Father again." Austin's response, "We have to die."
On Monday, before Megs left, Jacob actually got to hang out with us. That was a rare treat for me so I was excited. We only had a couple of hours so we decided to drive over to see the covered bridges. We did manage to find one and it was pretty lame.
We decided to make a quick stop in Winterset and took this picture in honor of Ron.
Yes, it is the birthplace of John Wayne. Exciting stuff, I know. (Becky, maybe this will be enough to convince Ron that you need to take a road trip out here.)

And across the street from John Wayne's house was by far the highlight of the trip for Jacob. He was so excited when he spotted this next picture he could hardly contain himself. That being said he made Megan pose for the picture.

Thanks for coming Megan. We can't wait to see you again this summer!

KAILEE'S BIRTHDAY PARTY

KAILEE'S BIRTHDAY PARTY

FORT WORTH STOCKYARDS

KAILEE'S 3RD BIRTHDAY PARTY!

TIM'S BIRTHDAY

DALLAS ZOO

GRANDMA GOES TO TEXAS!!!

I have been really, really bad about posting anything. I apologize and will try to do better. I was able to go and visit the Forte family in Texas and it was awesome. With Michele it is always a party!! (besides the fact that we celebrated Tim's and Princess Kailee's birthdays while I was there) The time to leave always comes too quickly, but I know to cherish each moment I am there which I did. We did a lot of fun things, (ate too much food) and just hung out. Michele and Tim have a beautiful home!! I am so excited for them, they have waited a long time for their own home. We were able to see 2 movies which was fun, since I never go to the movies. I think my favorite thing to do is go to the zoo with the kids which was so much fun. Michele's schedule is so hectic that we were literally running continually. (and she didn't even go to the gym once while I was there and we were still busy). It was a great vacation, but so hard to leave. I am just thankful for the time that we got to spend together and that I got to be with Beren, Bryton and Kailee.

From my English Class

So now that i have started posting things on the blog, i cant stop. it is actually really fun and i might continue doing it for awhile. But you guys know me i get bored of things fairly quick so we will see how long this lasts....
Anyways we got this handout in English today and i thought it was great and something that everyone should read (especially Joshua!!!):

Among teens in our day there is an ever growing epidemic that many people dont seem to be aware of, or are aware of but do nothing about it. possible reasons are that it has become so common in society that people now days arent aware that its even there. if gone unchecked, it could very well change the behavior, mentality, and attitude of youth around the nation. shouldnt we be more concerned about a condition so serious that studies have linked it to:
  • Addictive Behavior
  • Impaired Driving
  • Social Ineptness
  • Inability to focus
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Impaired or strained vision
  • Learning impairments
  • A possible contributor to cancer

By what you've read, what are some possible causes of such an epidemic?

(Read my comment to see the answer)

Megs visit to the Burg

So Jennelle and Megan had been planning Meg's visit without me knowing, sneaky huh?Thursday night, I was watching TV in my appt. lounge and all the sudden meggers walks in the room. It was such a good surprise, I had missed her alot. Friday I had class, so Megan and Jennelle went to Idaho Falls, and went shopping and stuff. When they got back we took her on a walk around campus to show her all the buildings, gardens, statues, and cool spots. She lucked out and got the see the biology department with all the animals and stuff. Then we headed back and we all went to Big Jud's for some burgers and tater tots. Since there isnt much of a night life here in rexburg, we just hung out and visited and caught up. Saturday i had wrestling so the girls came and watched all the guys in singlets. After that we got some lunch and megs and I went for a drive out to the sand dunes. For dinner we went to wingers, and ended the night with a movie which we all passed out during. It was so good to see Meggers. I had missed her so much. She is the most awesome person in the entire world, and i love her so much. Just so you guys know you are all invited to come and visit the wonderful town of rexburg. Jennelle cant wait to meet all of you she hasnt had the chance to meet yet. Talk to you soon, love you guys
